Hello! We are a group of students of an Adult Education and Training course at Escola Básica Fernando Távora in Guimarães.
Our city is very beautiful and has many attractive places to visit such as the Castle, the historic centre, the Vila Flor Palace and the Penha Mountain.
If you ever come to Guimarães we suggest that you have lunch in a typical restaurant called “Adega dos Caquinhos” and ask for the “Rojões à Minhota”, “Papas de Sarrabulho” or “Cozido à Portuguesa”. Then you can take a walk in the city park and travel by cable car to Penha so that you enjoy the beautiful view.
In the evening you can enjoy a cup of coffee in the Oliveira square and spend the night at the “Pousada da Santa Marinha da Costa”.
These are only a few suggestions, there is much more to do in this northern city. Come and visit us, we are sure that you will have a great time in Guimarães.
